Lintecum Kitchen Remodel
When my husband and I decided to remodel our kitchen we knew what we wanted, a sleek contemporary kitchen that seamlessly tied into our recently renovated family room. And we knew we would have to gird ourselves for the usual issues one faces in such a project: Inability to get all of our desired features, budget over runs, work extending well beyond due dates, friction between the contractor and designer, etc. Well, we were surprised, but not in the way we expected. We turned to a trusted source for the architectural design, Ted Smith of Ted Smith Design, to reconfigure an inefficient space that included a kitchen, bath and a bedroom/office. Ted’s experience with our design aesthetics and demand for high quality workmanship led him to recommend Susan Prang of Creative Eye Design + Build as our contractor. And once again Ted led us to the right resource.
Susan Prang helped us build a kitchen, bath and office that works as a cohesive space. I had never worked with an interior designer who was also my contractor and now that I have, I’ll never go back to the traditional split roles. Somehow, Susan took residence in our minds – it’s the only way I can explain it. She listened to our description and came back with a dream kitchen including elements that fit a mid-century modern home. From function to finishes her taste matched ours and she built a kitchen that flows easily with our family room. Everyone who walks into our homes says, “Who did your family room and kitchen, they are gorgeous.”
Susan constructively solved problems along the way and came up with the biggest surprise of all: she was on time and UNDER budget on the whole project. I’ve done numerous remodeling projects over the years, big and small and I have never had a better experience than working with Susan.
If you are considering a remodel or new build, I strongly advise you to talk with Ted Smith of Ted Smith Design and Susan Prang of Creative Eye Design + Build. You will not be disappointed!
